A literature summarized 7 studies in which all postpartum exercise groups were found to have significant weight loss1.

Another study found that for post childbirth mothers, diet control plus exercise can significantly reduce weight, with an average loss of 4-10kg after 12 weeks2.

For those with "C-Section" surgical delivery without complications, you should be able to resume exercise after getting final doctor’s clearance after 6 weeks. With doctor's permission, early return to normal activities and appropriate exercise can reduce problems caused by inactivity3,4.

Diastasis Recti

Exercise improves postpartum stress, fatigue and sleep quality

The best way to treat postpartum insomnia

A randomized controlled trial showed aerobic exercise effectively improves postpartum women's stress, fatigue and sleep quality6.

In the same study, only 4 weeks of exercise can ameliorate fatigue lasting at least 12 weeks6.

In addition, exercise group had significantly less sleeping problems after exercising for 12 weeks6.
